One day at work, I was asked to make a label for a S'more's kit for an event. I had fun making the word "s'mores" look like toasted marshmallows. That inspired me to create this illustration of s'mores ingredients warming their hands around a campfire. I also created the "Let's have s'more fun together" lettering, and again enjoyed making the "s'more" text look like toasted marshmallows.
I also used this illustration as an exercise in light and shade and the use of texture, which I am trying to get better at using in my illustrations. I was pretty happy with how the light from the fire casts onto the characters. I am also happy with the toastiness on the marshmallow.
